Sue E. Magnus, 85, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on March 30, 1941, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Stampfl) Hassel.

Sue was an avid tennis player and played tennis throughout her life and into her 70's. In her earlier years, she was a legal secretary and later she worked as a secretary for a medical sales company.

She is survived by her children, Crissi (John Rae) Butler, Betsy Smith, Kelly Smith, and Kerry (Jim) McManamon; daughter-in-law, Lori Smith; grandchildren, Ryan (Kim) Michael (Jerrica), Kyle (Kaitlyn), Alexander (Kristina), Blake (Carla), Mallory (Patrick), Crissy Evans, Breanna, Kayla, Cavan (Sarah), Taylor, Alexa (Chuck), Shane (Kristy), Masen, and Nicole (Tyler); 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Marti) Hassel; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Smith, Jr.; grandchildren, Jaime and Molly McManamon; son-in-law, Mark Butler; brothers, Hank and John Hassel; and sister, Joan Annen.
