Teresa Lynn Ewart – 55 of Lodi, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Teresa was born July 11th, 1969, in Toledo Ohio, the daughter of Jerry and Jill (Dibert) Ott Pigg.

She was a 1987 graduate of Field Local Schools and a graduate of Ohio Northern University in Ada Ohio with a bachelor's degree in education. She received her Master degree in 1995 from Kent State University.

Teresa was a science teacher at Medina City Schools for 29 years. She loved the Medina City family, everyone she met always knew her kindness and compassion for staff and students. Teresa taught at AI Root MS, Claggett MS and Medina High School.

She was a passionate science teacher sharing her love of science with her students watching them learn and grow, even staying in touch with students after graduation. Teresa mentored other science teachers within the district and was a positive role model for the students and the Medina district.

Teresa had many hobbies and interests, but she loved sitting on a beach listening to the waves come into shore as she read a book. At home she enjoyed being in her pool and lounging on the deck with her high school and college roommates. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, to watch and guide her sons thru school, scouting, school activities and having them graduate from college to start careers of their own.

Teresa is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, John; her children, Nicholas and Jacob; her siblings, Eric Von Dibert, Cindy Talbot and Billy (Tonya) Pigg; her nephew, Trey Von Dibert; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a lifetime of collected friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Ott; stepfather, Bill Pigg; and her mother, Jill Ott Pigg.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 12-2pm at Waite Funeral Home in Medina. A service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2pm at the funeral home. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
