Thomas L. Labus, age 81, was called to Heaven on Saturday, June 29, 2024. He was born on April 2, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Theodore and Janet (nee Stasik) Labus.
Thomas was an Aeronautical Engineer and played a lead role in the design of the electrical power system for the International Space Station. Thomas was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling, watching sports and spending his time at the lake house. He also enjoyed taking care of his fruit trees and vegetable plants.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Janet (nee Lichtenberg), married 58 years; his loving children, Frank (Abby) Labus, Jennifer "JoJo" Labus, Eric (Shirley) Labus, Sarah (Christopher Nickerson) Labus; his precious grandchildren, Jordan, Bayley, Barret, Zoey, Quinn; his treasured siblings, Christine Martin, Gary Labus and many cherished extended family and great friends.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 5-7pm at Waite and Son Funeral Home in Brunswick. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Brunswick. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park. Celebration of life to follow at Stancato's Italian Restaurant, Parma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lewy Body Dementia Association at https://www.lbda.org/donate/ in memory of Thomas L. Labus.
