Thomas Dean Turner

Thomas D. Turner, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026. He was born November 4, 1936, in Lodi, Ohio, middle son to Harry and Marguerite Turner.

Tom, a graduate of York High School, was a truck driver for Medina Supply many years until retirement & lived a quiet unassuming life. He worked hard throughout his life to be a good husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He loved music as he sang in many choirs for over 50 years, earned his private pilot’s license, travelled to many states, and enjoyed gardening in his retirement years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Michael, and his brothers Bob and Mark.

He is survived by his wife Joan of over 69 years; his three remaining sons Daniel (Michele-wife), Lyle (Margie-wife), and Timothy. He also loved his grandchildren Kaylee & David (Dan), Hannah (Michael), Jonathan, Rosalie, Christopher, Catherine (Lyle & Margie), Dillon (Tim); and two great-grandchildren Owen and Noah. He was cherished by family & friends and will be sorely missed.

Calling hours are Friday, May 22nd 5-8 pm at Waite Funeral Home, 765 North Court Street, Medina, OH. Family will also receive friends on Saturday, May 23rd from 10-11am with the Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 am at the Leroy United Methodist Church, 8 Park Circle, Westfield Center, OH. A lite lunch will be served following the service.
