Timothy Patrick Work

Timothy Patrick Work, age 37, passed away in his sleep on June 2, 2026. He was born on June 22, 1988, to Patrick and Deborah Work (nee Holmes). He is survived by his cherished siblings Justin (Angie) Work, Jordan (Alexandra) Work, Sasha (Spencer) Jones, Jesse (Elizabeth) Work and Olya (Ted) King, his twelve treasured nieces and nephews, and his dear grandparents John & Maxine Holmes, and Virginia & Ken Gailey.

All throughout his life, Tim (or “Timmy”, as those close to him affectionately called him) was fascinated by the world around him. For Tim, to learn was to play, and the world was his playground. A seeker of truth, a lover of nature and the stars, a traveler, a philosopher, a writer… Tim’s tolerance for small talk usually didn’t last too long. He could laugh and joke with the rest of us, but at some point the conversation would inevitably move from weather to wonder, from the trendy to the timeless.

In addition to his curious and inquiring mind, Tim was a gifted carpenter, a talented athlete, a gentle giant (standing at 6’5”) and a health enthusiast. More than these things, however, Tim is remembered as a beloved son and grandson, a cherished older brother, an esteemed uncle and a treasured friend.

His gentle, quiet spirit, his hearty laugh, his big bear hugs, his childlike curiosity at the wonders of God and of life and of all that is around us… it will all live on, warmly and gratefully, in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at Covenant of Grace Church (3400 Copley Rd, Copley, OH 44321) on Saturday, July 25, from 1-3pm. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may offer memorial contributions by clicking HERE to help the family with funeral expenses.
