Violet Louise Davies, 98 years old, of Amherst, Ohio passed away on January 9, 2026. She was born on July 25, 1927 in Burning Springs, West Virginia to the late Carl A. and Gertie L. (Belt) Scott.

Violet was a charter member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Stow, where her faith guided her life and where she formed lifelong friendships.

A gifted baker and cake decorator, Violet found great joy in the kitchen. Her beautifully decorated cakes and homemade treats were a centerpiece of many celebrations and gatherings. She also enjoyed crafts of all kinds, always creating.

She is survived by her children Richard (Linda) Davies, Carl (Barbara) Davies, Barbara (David Damm) Withrow; sister Bertha Scott; grand-children Brian, Brittany, Eric (Christina), Jake (Kerry), Brett, Brian (Ryan); great grandson Grayson; extended family Mike Scott and Jeanne Davies. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, James A. Davies.

Violet will be privately laid to rest with her husband at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
