Virginia "Dawn" Owens, 41, passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in Chatham. She was born July 7, 1969 in Cleveland, OH to Jack and Bonnie (nee Blankenship) Harper. Dawn was a legal assistant for Palecek, McIlvaine, Hoffmann & Morse Co., LPA of Wadsworth and was a graduate of the Academy of Court Reporting. She will always be remembered for her bubbly and zany personality, and stong will, her love of life and nature. She was a best friend to everyone she met. Dawn loved country music and was active in Cloverleaf Schools PTO. She is survived by her beloved husband Walter to whom she was married 19 years; caring mother of Jacob William and Molly Marie; loving daughter of Bonnie Goans; devoted sister of Sherrie Price, Jennifer Tischler, Jessica Palmer, Julie Zajac, A'me Flowers, Crystal Bradford, Jack Harper, Kendall Harper, Jeff Dunn, Walter Harper, Danny Miller and Johnny Miller; aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Jack E. Harper and step-father Jesse B. Goans. Services will be held at Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Saturday, August 7 at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Kevin Folger will officiate. Private burial will be at Chatham Cemetery.
