Walter Robert Newark, age 86, of LaGrange, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 3, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Walter John and Julia G. (Starr) Newark.

Walter worked in sales for Mueller Art Cover and finally retired after 30+ years there.  Walter was a devoted family man, car enthusiast, and avid outdoorsman (in that order). He especially enjoyed duck hunting and fishing.  Most of all he adored his family, they were a source of great pride and satisfaction, he especially loved being a grandfather and teaching them.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sandra Gail (Hickey); children, Tamara (Kevin), Walter (Dawn), Dean, and Richard (Brooke); his 9 cherished grandchildren, Erica, Austin, Caraline, Gabby, Nicholas (Delaney), Justin (Rachel), Julia, Cade, and Jacob; his great granddaughters, Evelyn and McKinley; and a lifetime of friends and colleagues.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Walter John and Julia G. (Starr) Newark.
