Wayne David Kosman of Hinckley, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 62. Born in Medina, Ohio, Wayne spent his life rooted in the community he loved. He worked for many years at Galley Printing, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.
Wayne was deeply passionate about the Boy Scouts, a commitment that reflected his values of service, mentorship, and community. His love for the outdoors and helping others shaped the lives of many young scouts over the years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Kosman, and his father, Edward Kosman. Wayne is survived by his loving sons, David (Samantha) Kosman and Cory Kosman; cherished granddaughters, Morgan and Audrey Kosman; his mother, Carol Kosman; sister Laurie Kosman; brother Mark (Jody) Kosman and their children, Joseph and Annalyse; father-in-law Philip (Rebecca) Cummings; and Starr Cummings. He also leaves behind his dear cat, Sox, who was a constant companion.
Wayne will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, and the warmth he brought to every room. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will be welcomed from 3pm to 8pm, Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 11am, Friday, October 24th, at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 1605 Center Road, Hinckley, Ohio. Visitation at the church from 10 to 11am. He will be laid to rest at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley. The family suggests making charitable donations in Wayne's name to The Great Trail Council of Scouting America (www.gtcbsa.org) or Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
