Obituary

Wayne Sapp, age 77, of Westfield Center Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026. Born on February 24, 1949, in Newburg, West Virginia, Wayne was the cherished son of the late Carter and Frances Sapp. Wayne dedicated over 30 years to his career at the Ford Motor Company, where he proudly contributed as an assembly line worker. His commitment to hard work was matched only by his passion for life outside of the workplace. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Wayne adored spending time with his loved ones, particularly his cherished grandchildren, Nash, Sloane, and Pyper. He also was an avid golfer. As a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses congregation in Brunswick East, Wayne found purpose in teaching the Bible and sharing his faith with others. His kindness and generous spirit made a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Carl Sapp, and sister, Norma Jean McGinnus. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Ruth (Trickett) Sapp; son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Renee Sapp; sister, Carole Jean Sheets; and numerous nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 3 pm, at Brunswick Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3906 Sleppy Hollow Rd., Brunswick.
