Wendy L. Athey, 55, born September 20, 1968, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 16, 2024.

Wendy adored and was adored by all who knew her. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, the west coast, and the beach. She loved coffee and wine, was a wonderful cook, and was the best gift-giver. She liked Harley-Davidson motorcycles and Jeeps. Most importantly, she cherished her relationships with her family, and her passing leaves a void in the lives of all who were privileged to know her.

Wendy's memory will be treasured by her family—her mom, Sharan Nawalanic (Phil); fiancé, Chad Rager; daughter, Alexandrea Hegarty; sister, Theresa Miller; uncle, Danny DePaolo (Carol); and her nine special cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sean Athey; her uncle, Andy DePaolo (Ginger); and her beloved grandparents.

Wendy will be laid to rest privately at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
