William J. Dwyer, Jr., 82, of Brunswick, passed away October 24, 2024.

He was born on April 9, 1942 in Jefferson County, OH to William J. and Dorothy (McInnis) Dwyer.

Survivors include his son, William J. (Olubukunola Mary) Dwyer III ; grandson, William A. Dwyer; loving companion, Patricia Hurless; dear friend and former spouse, Linda Dwyer; a sister, Elizabeth Jimenez; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

William graduated from Kent State University in 1970 and from Akron University in 2005 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as an Akron firefighter and retired in 2002.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. Private interment will take place at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
