William “Bill” Williams, age 84, was surrounded by his family, when he peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
Bill was preceded in death by, his first wife of 30 years, Jill (Dolly) (nee Castelli); parents, Ivrin and Hellen (nee Holmes) Williams.
Bill leaves behind his second wife of 27 years Peggy Williams (nee Scyoc); his daughters, Gina Williams, Tracey Sugar (Fiancé James Evanko), Julie Kaiser (Douglas); his grandchildren, Addison Kaiser, Morgan Kaiser, Joseph Williams, and Andre Sugar (Father John Sugar); Sisters Joan Ries and Nancy Schatzel (Bill); brother, Ray Williams; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Bill was born April 29, 1942. In Warren, Ohio.
In the early 1960’s, he proudly served his country in the Marine Corps.
With the discipline that was honed in the Marines, Bill maintained a strict workout and fitness routine throughout his life.
Upon returning from the Corps, he married Dolly, and they had their three beloved daughters, Gina, Tracey, and Julie.
Bill went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and spent his early years as a terminal manager in the freight business. He later went into business for himself and was owner of a number of successful transmission shops. In retirement he drove the bus for special needs children.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed being in Golf Leagues.
For 50 years, Bill passionately tended to and maintained his beautifully landscaped yard and garden, and bitched about the rabbits, deer, and the neighbors who did not maintain theirs.
Bill always had dogs (Dutchess, Sheba, Buddy, MA) and he treated them as a part of the family.
Our whole family would like to thank our neighbors for their support; With special thanks to Bill and Cheryl Gorey for their love, support and advocating on Bill’s behalf.
Bill you were a good man. A good husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, Marine, neighbor, and businessman. We will miss you sorely and will love you always.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. Committal services will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville at 2:45 pm. Following the committal service, a Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 pm in the Venus Room at The Galaxy, located at 201 Park Centre Dr., Wadsworth, OH 44281. For easiest access to the room, please park near the Holiday Inn entrance.
