Obituary

William Mills, age 87, of Brunswick, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 14, 2013. He was born on July 20, 1925 to the late George and Frances (nee Debelak) Milcinovic in Cleveland. William proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired as a USPS Mail Carrier. For many years Bill was actively involved playing softball, umpiring, and scorekeeping in Bedford and Maple Hts. William is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Marie (nee Kosar); loving children Christine (Jack) McGeady, Greg (Mercedes) Mills, Dorie Farrell, William A. "Buddy" Mills, Kathy Mills and Karen M. Howell; treasured grandchildren Brian (Mary) McGeady, Danny (Theresa) McGeady, Jennie (John) Swift, Kristie (Patrick) Denney, Stephanie (Bryan) Downing, Matthew (Kristine) Farrell, Eric and Andrew Farrell, Nathan and Kevin Howell; cherished great-grandchildren Liam, Murphy Rose and Keegan McGeady, Jack and Elise McGeady, Chase, Jacob and John Colton Swift, and Maddie and Lauren Denney; brothers George (Florence) Milcinovic and Nick (Helen) Milcinovic, sister Mary Jane (Frank-deceased) Slomkowski; numerous loved nieces and nephews; and many great friends. He is preceded in death by his great-grandson Patrick John McGeady, brother John (Betty) Mills, sister Anne Lucas, brothers Marc (Florence) Milcinovic and Danny "Butch" (Beverly) Milcinovic, and sister-in-law Mary Milcinovic, and Kosar in-laws, precious parents Andrew and Mary Kosar, and sisters Anne Powers and Adrienne (Bill) Buckley. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2-6pm at Waite and Son Funeral Home (3300 Center Road, Brunswick 44212) as well as at church an hour prior to mass on Monday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 10am at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (929 Pearl Road. Brunswick 44212). Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
