Obituary

William R. Sellers, 81, of Parma, passed away January 31, 2026.

He was born in Cleveland on March 24, 1944 to Glen and Edna (Phelps) Sellers.

William is survived by his children, Billy (Valerie) Sellers, Michelle Miecznikowski and Melissa Groleau; grandchildren, Lance and Kylie Miecznikowski, and Randy and Nicole Groleau; great-grandchild, Ellie Groleau; siblings, Ron (the late Sue) Sellers and Sandy (Joe) Ventimiglia; sister-in-law, Kathy Stanek; former spouse, Linda Sellers; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy (the late Dean) Jordan.

William was a proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 17 and retired after 41 years of service. Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite activities were playing golf, bowling, cornhole, and horseshoes. He was most happy spending time with his grandkids and his great-granddaughter, Ellie. William will always be remembered for his fun loving and witty sense of humor.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, followed by funeral services at 7 pm.
