Dorothy G. McNamara, age 88, of Medina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Sunday, August 18, 2013. Dorothy was born October 21, 1924 in Chicago, IL to the late Patrick and Mary (Fergus) McLaughlin.

Dorothy was the loving mother of Julia (Kenneth) Collier, Denise, Ellen (David) Lawler, Raymond (Denise), Martin, Kitty (Brian) Kilbane; devoted grandmother of Jennifer and Chrissy Langdon, Lauren Flynn, Bridget (Kurt) Furukawa, Daniel (Kristina) McNamara, Cynthia (Mark) Suffridge, Jessica Lawler, Erin and Meghan McNamara, Emily Mack (J.R.), Ryan and Kelsey Kilbane; cherished great-grandmother of Shelly and Kelly McNamara, Maura and Colleen Mack and Mason and Emilia Furukawa. Dorothy was also a loving aunt and friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Lawrence McNamara; sons Daniel, Philip, and Michael; sisters Mary Kelly and Catherine McLaughlin.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 24, 11:00 a.m., at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 S. Weymouth Road, Medina. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday from 3-5:00 and 7-9:00 p.m. at the Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
