James W. Corbett, 74 of West Salem passed away on June 9, 2009. He was born April 27, 1935 in Princeton, Maine. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years Olga; children Samantha Burke, James Corbett, Jr., Lawrence (Debbie) Corbett,
Rebecca Corbett, Jackie (Steve) Mason, Byron (Doreen) Corbett, Sandra (Joe) Louk and Laurie (Steve) Runyon; 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren; brothers Marshall Corbett and Gerald Corbett; and sister Jean (Ralph) Tardy. Preceded in death by his son Dennis Dean Corbett, parents Harry & Grace (nee Butler) Corbett and brothers Lawrence, Erlin and Lyndal Corbett. He was a self- employed Real Estate Appraiser/Sales, Flight Instructor in Strongsville and Columbia Station, a free Mason out of Sullivan Lodge and former auto mechanic instructor. James enjoyed woodworking, boating, and was a Ham Radio Operator. Friends may call at Waite & Son Funeral Home Brunswick Chapel 3300 Center Road (Rt. 303 at I-71) on Friday at 6-8 PM. Services will be on Saturday at 10 AM at the funeral home.
Rev. Ron Bryda will be officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 6303 Center Rd, Valley City.
