James C. Riffe, 70, of Valley City, passed away Tuesday in Medina. He was born January 30, 1940 in Buchanan County, VA. James was an electronics engineer, who owned and operated Cletronics Inc., as well as a part owner of North Erie Electronics for a number of years. He served his country in the Army Reserves, and was honorably discharged. He was an avid hunter, a member of the NRA, and the Willoughby Masonic Lodge #302. He will be dearly missed by his family & friends. He is survived by his loving wife Carol (nee Klish) of 47 ½ years, son Darren and daughter Dawn Riffe, all of Valley City. He was a dear brother to Phyllis Bucklew, Georgia Duvall, Claudette Fishback, Kenna Riffe, & Sharon Romanowski. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Vida Riffe, and sister Ernestine DeRossett. Family will receive friends Thursday 6-9 pm, at the Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Funeral service will be Friday, 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Valley City.
