Brendan Keenan, age 87, peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He was born September 11, 1934, to Edward and Mary (nee Doyle) Keenan in Dublin, Ireland. Brendan's career spanned over many years as a master carpenter. He began as a carpenter in Ireland at the age of 14. After coming to America, he served, and retired, as the head of maintenance carpentry for General Motors for 30 years.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing racquetball. He was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus and a former Grand Knight. Above all, Brendan loved spending time with his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to celebrate Brendan's life are his loving children, Paula Harrington (Dennis), Brendan (Codi), Anita Ankofski (Scott) and Aileen Smith (Chris); his cherished grandchildren, Corey, Keara, Shannon, Kelly, Liam, Alex, Breann, Jennifer, Katie and Fiona; his adorable great grandchildren, Eliza, Addison, Adrienne, Eliana, Emma and Riley; his brothers, Reamonn and Patrick; and many extended family and friends.

Brendan is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, A. Colette and his daughter, Teresa Jackson; sister, Moira and brother, Cyril.

A live stream of the service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 23, 2022, for public viewing. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
