Celine (Fiut) Horvath, 71, peacefully entered into the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by her beloved family on November 4, 2021. Celine was born on June 30, 1950, to the late Ignatius and Eleanor (Gurgol) Fiut in Cleveland, Ohio.

She always had a calling to serve and care for others and lived that calling as a BSN-prepared RN

with numerous specialty certifications to her credit. Throughout her distinguished professional career as a leader, a teacher, and mentor and she served in various clinical practice, education and leadership positions, including as the Chief Safety Officer for the Cleveland Clinic. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She had many talents including being an accomplished calligrapher, creative party planner, pianist, crafter extraordinaire; her unconditional love and enduring spirit will continue to inspire all the lives she has touched.

Beloved wife of 45 years to James Joseph, mother to Amanda (Spenser Bernard) and James Paul (Kelly), and grandma to Emeric.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio, 44256. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 11:30 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church followed by interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
