Daniel M.
Lapp
Mar 2, 1961 — Jul 6, 2024
Daniel M. Lapp, 63, of Brunswick, passed away July 6, 2024.
He was born in Cleveland on March 2, 1961 to Robert and Diane (Flash) Lapp.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Suzanne (Owens); siblings, Robert Lapp, Maureen Mendel (Pat), Marilyn Hayes (John), and Edward (Gail); nephew Josh (Jennie); nieces, Melissa, Megan (Kevin), Kelly (Mike) and Brigid. Daniel was also a great uncle to James, Jolee, and Emery.
Daniel attended St Michael Catholic Elementary, Lincoln West Jr High School, was a 1979 graduate of Midpark High School, and earned a business degree. He was employed by a major Cleveland bank for 27 years.
Dan was a simple man. He never bragged and was humble--he rarely asked for help from others, but often offered his assistance with such things as snowplowing and mowing a lawn. He loved being with family and friends, golfing, playing softball and tennis, cooking and going on vacations. He loved to go to Las Vegas, on beach vacations and cruises. He also enjoyed going to "Donut Sunday" after mass, watching car shows, and taking walks in the Metropark. He had an incredible sense of humor and often joked around with family, friends, and of course his wife! He was a runner-up in the 1975 Cleveland National Jr Tennis League Tournament.
He was patient, kind and a devoted husband. When asked what he'd like for dinner or the plan of the day, he usually replied "whatever you'd like dear, as long as I'm with you"! He would wash my vehicle without me asking, search for information from the internet that I couldn't find and do all sorts of things for me that I wouldn't have asked for, without hesitation. We will miss him greatly, and he will always be in our hearts.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
