Diane E.
Alberts
September 7, 1937 – May 28, 2020
Diane E. Alberts, age 82, of Medina and formerly of Wooster, passed away on May 28, 2020. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 7, 1937 to the late John and Ruth (Hackbush) Booth.
Diane was a vibrant, life-long artist. In her youth she had the notoriety of being one of the first women accepted into the Cleveland Athletic Club. Her talent gave her the opportunity to personally work with Ted Trikilis, co-founder of Pro Arts, (creators of the famous Farrah Fawcett poster which is displayed in the Smithsonian) which led to her starting her own company, Soft Touch. An improved and modernized version on an older technique, Diane could be found showcasing Soft Touch at Art in the Park, Christmas in the Colonies, and Stan Hywett. Her creativity also allowed her to work as the activities director for the former Pythian Sisters Home in Medina.
Diane is survived by her sons Gary (Sharon) Alberts and John (Jean) Alberts; grandchildren Zoe and Philip Alberts; and her brother James (Kathy) Booth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gary Alberts; and her daughter Debbie Ruth Alberts.
Please keep the Alberts' in your thoughts and prayers as they hold private services to celebrate her life as a family. The family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made in Diane's memory to a charity of your choice.
