Gerald "Jerry" L. Polivka, age 75, passed away unexpectedly January 2, 2024. He was born May 4, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio to Leonard and Helen (nee Klasinski) Polivka.  Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army, spending 2 tours in Vietnam and would ascend to the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring after 38 years of service. He enjoyed golfing and was a big Cleveland Sports Fan. He was very kind-hearted and was known for helping anyone in need; and telling jokes along the way. Jerry will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to celebrate Jerry's life is his beloved wife of 47 years, Alma (nee Harner); his loving children, Michael, Adam, Scott and Matthew; his cherished granddaughter, Sophia; brother Michael (Susanne) Polivka; sisters, Marilyn Polivka and Susan (Frank) Pennington; and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Denise, and his parents.

A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Road in Brunswick with military honors being held at 2:00 pm.
