Regina "Jean" Ann McDonough (Yasher), 71 of Hinckley, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on January 17, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with end-stage renal disease. Jean was born on April 8, 1949 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, to the late Paul and Anna (Kissel) Yasher. Jean enjoyed reading, playing hidden object games on her computer, and watching the Game Show Network and the Hallmark channels, but most of all, she enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends.

Jean graduated from Byzantine Catholic High School in Parma, OH in 1967. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas McDonough, on November 26, 1970. Over the next 39 years, they built a life together and brought three children into this world. She cherished her children and supported them in everything they did. If you knew Jean, you knew her to be a kind, thoughtful, caring, selfless individual with a warm heart that welcomed you with open arms.

She will be dearly missed by her three children: Gina (Jon) Miyamoto of Hinckley, Thomas (Shannon) McDonough III of Medina, and Leighann (Jason) Reep of Medina. Her six grandchildren, who were the lights of her life, will miss their dear Nana Wrow: Emma, Kaylee, Christopher, Lillian, Clayton, and Parker. Also missing Jeannie are her siblings Patricia Gorczyca of Brook Park and Ronald (Karen) Yasher of North Royalton. She is also survived by brother-in-law Joseph McDonough of Las Vegas, sister-in-law Cynthia Yasher of Delaware, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Anna; her beloved husband Thomas B. McDonough II in 2010; sister Paulette (Yasher) Kichurchak; brother Robert Yasher, and brother-in-law Martin Gorczyca.

A family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon, Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1088 Ridge Rd, Hinckley, OH 44233. You may attend the mass virtually by clicking on the link in her obituary at waitefuneralhome.com.  Jean will be laid to rest with her husband, Tom, at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick. Donations can be made in Jean's memory to the American Kidney Fund (AKF) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
