Jeanette (Thiele) Gilles, 85, of Medina, OH, passed away December 26, 2023, in Medina. She was born June 1, 1938, in Lodi, OH and lived her entire life in the Medina, Lodi area. She was a retired school bus driver for Medina City Schools.

She loved reading, crocheting, family gatherings, making apple butter, and hillbilly stew. She also spent a lot of time outdoors gardening, mowing, and picking up sticks from her 6 acres of property. She will continue to be loved and missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Dean (Debbie) Gilles, Shelley (Norm) Sorge; her seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; her brothers, Mike (Linda) Thiele, Herman (Gail) Thiele; her sister, Theresa (Denver) Hall; her sisters-in-law, Sylvia Mollohan, Sue Chapman, and Brenda (Tom) Swartz; her brother-in-law, Jon; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Herman and Marie (Rolland) Thiele; her husband of 58 years, Sylvester (Skip) Gilles; her brother, Alexander Thiele; her sister, Tracy Kim Thiele; her sisters-in-law, Pauline Cogar and Belvia Hann; her brothers-in-law, Clyde Cogar, George Hann, Clyde Chapman, and Bill Mollohan.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated. Services will be at a later date.
