John (Jack) Wells Cammarn, age 90, of Medina, Ohio, peacefully passed on to our Lord on July 17​, 2023​​ in Medina, Ohio. John was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 27, 1933 to the late George and Louise ​(Flaig)​ Cammarn.  John graduated from Upper Arlington High School and attended Miami University, receiving both his Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University. John worked as a chemical engineer for many prestigious companies including Dupont, Diamond Alkali, Union Carbide, Hooker Chemical, North American Carbide, and Burgess and Niple. John was a faithful man and member of Messiah Lutheran Church.  He was also a dog lover and an ardent fan of Ohio State Football. ​However, anyone who knew him was aware that John was happiest when surrounded by his beloved family. John was a wonderful husband and a kind loving father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him​.

He is preceded in death by his​ beloved​ wife ​of 59 years, ​Nancy​ (Grugle) Cammarn. John is survived by his sister​, ​Cheryl Barker​;​ his sons​,​ David (Christine) Cammarn, Daniel (Ann) Cammarn, Scott (Heather) Cammarn and Stephen (Tavane) Cammarn​;​ and ​his ​stepdaughter Kathy (Chris) Beatty.  He is also survived by ​his grandchildren, ​Kevin Cammarn​, Jennifer (Alex) Cammarn​,​ Kathryn (Micah) Maliskas, Laura (Josh) Rinehart, Cynthia (Anthony) Cammarn, Rachael Cammarn, Grace (Jason) Katsaros and Anna (Kenny) Beeker​;​ ​his step-grandchildren​,​ Mae (Meg) and Justin (Pandora) Beatty;​and​ two great grandsons​,​ Theodore and Philip Maliskas.

Visitation will be held at 3 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 4 PM at the Western Reserve Masonic Community Chapel in Medina OH on Saturday July 22, 2023.  A private burial service will be held at Lake View Cemetery by the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Western Reserve Masonic Community, 4931 Nettleton Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
