Katheryn J. Garra, age 63, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on March 25, 2024. She was born on July 28, 1960, in Medina, Ohio to Barbara J. (Gilbert) Howard. Katheryn was raised by her mother and her loving step-father, James O. Howard.

Katheryn was a truly kind and loving person; anyone who knew her cherished her friendship and spending time with her. She had a 25-year career working at Medina Hospital in Cardiology. More recently she returned to work part-time at the Hospital cafeteria, as she often joked, to support her two dogs Cody and Amber. Over the years she also enjoyed her time working at Pet Supply Plus, Buehler's Fresh Food, and driving for Uber. A true animal lover, Katheryn faithfully participated annually with Rainbow Bridge Walk, a pet loss ceremony at Buckeye Woods Park. She cherished her volunteer work with her therapy dog, Cody. Together they helped to provide great comfort to patients and family members at Hospice of the Western Reserve Medina Inpatient Unit, as well various other nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Medina County. Katheryn was a deeply selfless person who was always available to help those around her.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
