Linda (Herbstritt) Bostwick passed away May 24th, 2024, in Medina, Ohio, surrounded by love from her family. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and more. Her daughter, Christine (Brian) Rose took great care of her through her long journey with cancer. She is also survived by her son, Richard, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Linda was born on August 3rd, 1944 in London, England. She spent time as a child in England, Germany and Canada before calling Northeast Ohio her home in 1955. She found love with her husband, John, whom she met in her twenties and also had strong English roots. They lived in Medina, Ohio, where they raised their three children. Both enjoyed sharing family history and traveling.
Linda devoted much of her career to nursing, spending many years at Pearlview in Brunswick, serving others and making lifelong friendships. She was also devoted to her church, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, in Medina, where she also cultivated many friendships. She was blessed to have shared her life with these wonderful individuals.
Linda loved all of her grandchildren including: Mark (Krissy) Rose, Ashley Rose (Tony Walton), Cheyenne Rose (Bronson Beck), Jenna (John) Norton, Emily (Dillon) Wilson, Skie Bostwick (Lonnie Catania) and others that she loved as her own. She was also a proud great-grandmother to many, including: Mia, MJ, Gabby, Lexie, AJ, Sierra, Lane, Liam, Colton, Megan, Max, Quinn, Stephen, Everly and others that she loved as her own.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Alfons and Augusta (Eschle) Herbstritt, her husband John M. Bostwick Jr. and her son John M. Bostwick III.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 317 E. Liberty St., Medina.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Linda's name to Second Sleep, a local nonprofit that was close her heart that provides beds to children in need throughout northeast Ohio. Donations can be made at www.secondsleepohio.org.
