Michael G. Burgan, "Mike", fell asleep in the Lord, February 15, 2023.  He was born July 14, 1938, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, to the late Rex James and Phoebe (nee Turner) Burgan.  The family relocated to the Cleveland area in Mike's very early years.

From a young age Mike's competitive spirit and willingness to lead was evident as he gravitated to sports and competition.  Mike went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, including a term as platoon leader. He later worked in Operations Management (Plant Manager), retiring from Ferry Cap & Set Screw after more than 40 years of employment. Mike was also an avid golfer and enjoyed a variety of home improvement and building projects.  More than anything, he will be remembered as a humble man beloved by his family. Mike poured his love into the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mike's memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of more than 62 years, Helen (nee Cummings); children, Debbie (Jody) Glass and Mike Burgan; grandchildren, Danielle, Brittany, Zachary, and Joshua; great-grandchildren; Ava, Faith, Zoe, and Iseabal; and sister, Carol (Hank) Stanczyk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and James.

The family will welcome guests from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, February 24, 2023, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. He will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
