Michael G. Smith, 72 of Brunswick Hills, Ohio passed away after a long battle with COPD on Friday, April 05, 2019. He was born on September 13, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles Smith and Margaret (nee Gacsady) Szalonka. Beloved husband of Terry (nee Slaubaugh) Smith; loving father of Amy (Jeff) Ballinger,  Michelle Smith, and Melissa (Bill) Simmons ; cherished grandfather of Daniel (Rachel) Ballinger, Renee Larson, Holly (Trevor) Gillett, Caleb Vance, Brookann Simmons; treasured great-grandfather of Grace Ballinger and Noah Ballinger; dear brother of David Smith. Friends and family may call on Thursday, April 11 from 3- 6 PM at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Services will follow at 6 PM at the funeral home.
