Phyllis D Surratt, age 85, a long time resident of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Justin T Rogers Hospice Care Center. She was born April 12, 1939 in Pine Knob, West Virginia to the late James Pendleton and Dora Green Walker (nee Hendrix).

She attended school in Montgomery, West Virginia and was a graduate of Lincoln West High School in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Phyllis was a homemaker most of her life with some part-time jobs at Allied-Witan, Sandridge and Maple Side Farms. She enjoyed shopping and was an avid reader. Also, trips to Myrtle Beach when possible. She was most affectionately known as "Gran" by her grandchildren and great grandchildren which she spent most of her time with giving them much love and laughter.

She will be dearly missed by her 3 daughters, Dreama (Tim), Rebecca (Jim), Lora (Curt); dearest sister Shirley A Rogers, Carolyn (Roy) Walker, and Ruth Ellen (Larry) O'Dell; cherished grandchildren Bill Visnic (Lisa), Brittany (Justin), Tom Teklinsky, Austin Ruiz, Mia Ruiz, Jenna Sansonette and Jared Sansonette; cherished great-grandchildren Billy Visnic, Madison Miller and Charlotte Miller; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; special cousin Rosie Laverty.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Joe Surratt ( 2018); Sister Margaret L. Tackett; Brothers Kenny, Harford, JD and Doug Walker.
