Ruby Mae Case, age 85, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on June 9, 2024. She was born to the late Elsworth and Mary (Dulaney) Higgins on October 10, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio. Ruby had a long career as a volunteer dispatcher for both Brunswick Hills Fire Department and the Medina Township Fire Department along with her careers as a Nurse's Aide and a Homemaker. She was proud of being one of the founding members of the Medina Township Fire Department. She enjoyed crocheting and gifted many of her homemade treasures to friends and family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 67 years, David Case; her children, Darlene (John) Williams, Keith (Robin) Case, and Deniece (Kevin Sprankle) Case; her grandchildren, Christy (Jeff) O'Quinn, James Vithous, and Brittney (Brandyn) Street; and her great grandchildren, Gavin and Declan O'Quinn. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, William Higgins and Norman Higgins, and her sister, Mary Lou Porter.

Visitation services will be Friday, June 14, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., followed by the funeral service on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Officiating will be Chaplain Jeff Switzer of Hospice of the Western Reserve.  Ruby will be laid to rest following the service at Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Brunswick, Ohio.
