Tess Kindig, 70, of Medina, passed away November 3, 2021.

She was born April 6, 1951 in Akron to the late Zachary P. and Nora C. (Carroll) Silva. For a major part of her life, Tess was a talented writer who published 14 books. She also wrote freelance articles for newspapers and magazines. Tess was the founder and operator of Garrison House Books for 30 years. In addition, she was active in various projects, including international adoption and the Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society (NOBS).

Tess is survived by her husband of 51 years, Eric; children, Moira (Brian Watson) Kindig and Catie (Joe) Han; grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Cameron, Ben and Emily; and sister, Colleen (Bill Marthaler) Silva.
