Burial can include as much—or as little—ceremony as feels right for your family. Some families choose a visitation and funeral followed by burial, while others prefer a graveside gathering or a more private goodbye.
We’re here to explain the options, help you understand what each choice involves, and create a service that reflects the person you love.
Visitation
A visitation gives family and friends time to gather, offer support, share memories, and say goodbye. It can be personalized with photographs, tribute videos, meaningful belongings, flowers, music, or other details that reflect your loved one.
Funeral or Memorial Service
A funeral or memorial service brings people together to remember and honor a life through stories, music, readings, prayer, or other meaningful elements. Services may be led by clergy, a celebrant, a family member, or another person your family chooses.
Services may be held at our Medina or Brunswick locations or in another place of meaning, such as a church, event venue, park, or other setting that reflects your family and your loved one.
Graveside Service
A graveside service may take place on its own or following a visitation or funeral. Families can gather at the cemetery for words of remembrance, prayer, music, military honors, or a quiet goodbye before burial.
A Committal Service
A committal service is the brief portion of the service held at the cemetery immediately before burial. It may include a prayer, reading, final words, or military honors.
